A workshop for actors interested in directing
DATE/TIME: Wednesday, 19th August, 10am-1pm
Actors often make the best directors, since they know what actors need in rehearsal – but getting started can be intimidating! This workshop aims to banish the mystery around the parts of the creative process that happen outside the rehearsal room. How do directors work on the concept for a production, prepare a text for rehearsals and collaborate with the rest of the creative team? Find out, and feel more confident about starting to direct.
Lisa Cagnacci has been directing for over 15 years and has previously worked as Associate Artistic Director of the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough; Associate Artistic Director of Theatre503 and Associate Director at Southwark Playhouse. She is an Associate Artist of Sphinx Theatre Company. She also teaches directing at Morley College, London.
